EXPERIENCE

I began my law career in the not-for-profit
sector working for
Indiana Legal Services in 2001. I
represented low-income clients in eviction actions,
dissolutions, custody battles, unemployment compensation
hearings, social security hearings and other civil
proceedings.

In 2004, I entered private practice, where I am a solo
practitioner providing representation in the following areas -
employment discrimination, Worker’s Compensation,
Bankruptcy, misdemeanors, personal injury, guardianships,
social security hearings and other civil and criminal matters.

In 2006, I became
Habeas Counsel in the Guantanamo Bay
detainee litigation. I am representing a client from
Afghanistan who is being wrongfully detained.

*Admitted to practice in Indiana (federal and state court), the
Northern District of Illinois (federal) and the District of
Columbia (federal) and the United States Court of Appeals
for the D.C. Circuit.

In 2008, I ran for
State Representative in House District 3 in
Indiana.
